Memphis Dermatology Clinic physicians have extensive training in treating the following cosmetic skin conditions:

|
Chemical Peels
This treatment uses a variety of chemicals including glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and trichloroacetic acid. These peels vary in strength and can help acne, fine lines, and discoloration.
Laser Hair Removal
This treatment is one of the most advanced, reliable, and effective methods of decreasing dark, unwanted hair growth. With a series of Candela Gentlelase laser treatments, hair growth is reduced to reveal soft, smooth, stubble-free skin.
Platelet Rich Plasma Injections
MDC also offers platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections. These injections use the patient’s own growth factors to support growing hair follicles. Treatments are typically performed once every month for the first three months, and then twice yearly for maintenance. The procedure is minimally painful and takes only a few minutes after preparation of the serum. PRP injections have been shown to have good efficacy in patients who are looking to regrow or maintain hair growth, particularly in combination with other prescription therapies. Our clinic specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple types of hair loss, some of which may be treated with these injections.
UltraClear Laser
This advanced device utilizes fractional ablation to remove skin and encourage remodeling of collagen at various levels. Our trained physicians can specifically tailor the device to achieve your specific goals for skin rejuvenation. UltraClear offers settings which more gently and superficially remove the effects of aging skin and sun damage, without topical numbing, and with minimal downtime. The laser also has deeper settings for patients who wish to have more significant skin rejuvenation, new collagen stimulation, reduction of acne and other scars, and visible lift. These treatments require topical numbing and have longer associated downtime for healing. In either case, UltraClear laser treatments typically only require 15-30 minutes to complete, with healing times between 1-10 days. For more information and before and after photos, see the UltraClear device website.
Acne/Acne Scars
These scars can be treated with Candela V-beam pulse dye laser and/or Fraxel laser. These lasers can be used to decrease bumps, redness, and shallow scars with a series of treatments. Chemical peels may also benefit a patient with acne and/or scars.
Brown Spots, Age Spots, Melasma, Freckles, Sun Damage
These discolorations can be treated either with chemical peels, or laser. A series of treatments can achieve lightening of these areas of increased pigment. Memphis Dermatology Clinic offers Elta MD Sunscreen, Refissa, and Skinceuitcals for prevention, maintenance, and reversal of sun damage.
Facial Veins, Rosacea, Angiomas, Vascular Birthmarks
These conditions are treated with the Candela V-Beam pulse dye laser.
Wrinkles
These conditions can be improved with chemical peels, laser, Botox/Dysport and fillers such as those in the Juvederm and Restylane family (Juvederm Voluma, Juvederm Volbella, Vollure, Restylane Silk, and Restylane Lyft,). Procedures are tailored to your skin’s needs.
